How the #bestofyou challenge works

  • Accountability brings consistency and results! The goal is to dial in our fitness routines and challenge ourselves by completing short, but intense metabolic conditioning workouts. These workouts are specifically designed to bring out the best of you in 20 minutes or less, with consistency. These are weight training workouts, but they will also feel like cardio!
  • This is a Facebook Group and Instagram Challenge! You will "check in" each day via Instagram/Facebook Group, using a photo (can be a sweaty selfie,a screenshot of your protein target, a quote, shot at the gym, you and a partner, equipment, inspirational meme, whatever). YOU WILL HASHTAG ALL POSTS using “#bestofyou”  and also the DAY of the challenge it is for you. For example, my description might be "Just finished up a brutal leg workout, I want to kill you, @adelastingaci.fitness! But love a good sweat, I am feeling stronger by the day! #bestofyou #Day3" - I will be sending you examples of posts via email after you sign up!
  • In order to complete the challenge, you must complete 6 workouts over the 7 days . This is going to be tough and it will challenge you to bring out the #bestofyou. Working out every day for 20 minutes is actually only 2h/week, simple as that, basically the length of a movie on Netflix. However, the workouts are required to be done every day. Why? because it's all about balance and building the habit of consistency.
  • The workouts are intense! So I am recommending you do them accompanied by walk, mobility and stretching. Best for recovery. Workouts longer than 20 minutes don't count! The recovery is faster and it will make it easier for you to exercise the next day.  If you're someone who spends hours in the gym, this will show you a different positive outcome. Let's change the focus and do things differently this time.
  • I'll provide the workouts through  my app. They'll all be 20 minutes or less and you'll be able to pick and choose which ones you want to do. In order to get all 6 required workouts in the 7-day length of the challenge, every workout would be repeated 2 x week. I recommend doing 3 days on, 1 day off (3x1 Method). You can do the workouts at home with dumbbells (I recommend 1 heavier and 1 lighter set), or at a gym.

Hello! Hi, I’m Adela, aka @adelastingaci.fitness! I am so looking forward to having you in the #Bestofyou challenge!. I am excited to be spending this time together and generate a ton of results, friendship, support, guidance and plenty of motivation. When life gets busy and you have to run between meetings, kids, family, it can be very difficult to get and stay into the habit of exercising regularly. I think  short-duration, high-intensity workouts are important, so all workouts in the challenge are 20min or less, and will leave you breathless and burning! Metabolic Conditioning workouts help you maintain muscle while upping the shred factor.  After 10 years in the industry, I meet many people who are struggling with consistency and accountability.
